The Shun Premier line boasts a stunning aesthetic on top of its premium materials—a series of functional works of art. Each blade, as the focal point, has a mirror sheen, Damascus cladding, and a tsuchime (hammered) finish; as far as function, you’re looking at a cutting edge of Shun’s proprietary VG-MAX super steel, which is additionally stain-resistant thanks to the Damascus jacket, and releases food when slicing better thanks to the hammering. Each knife is handmade in Japan with over 100 crafting steps.
